For the pecan pie topping:
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare brownie base: Prepare the brownie batter according to the box or your preferred recipe and pour it into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Make pecan pie topping: Whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir in chopped pecans.
- Layer and bake: Pour pecan pie topping over partially baked brownies. Bake for 25–30 minutes until set.
- Cool and serve: Cool completely before slicing. Chill for cleaner cuts if desired.
