Bread Cubes:

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (minced) or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Additional:

  • 1 1/22 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Toast bread cubes: Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10–15 minutes until slightly dry and golden.
  3. Sauté vegetables: In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and celery until softened. Add garlic and cook briefly. Stir in herbs, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix ingredients: Combine toasted bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, parsley in a bowl. Add beaten eggs and broth gradually until moist.
  5. Bake: Transfer mixture to baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until golden and crisp on top.
