Description

This refreshing Guava Passionfruit Drink combines tropical flavors of guava, passionfruit, and pineapple with a hint of fresh ginger and creamy coconut milk. Perfectly sweetened and chilled, it’s an exotic beverage ideal for warm days or anytime you crave a vibrant, fruity treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Syrup

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (about 12 g) fresh ginger, grated

Drink

  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) guava nectar
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) passionfruit juice
  • Ice, for serving
  • Optional garnish: fresh mint leaves or lime slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pineapple-Ginger Syrup: In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, granulated sugar, and grated fresh ginger. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning, until the sugar has fully dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  2. Strain the Syrup: Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the syrup through a fine sieve to remove ginger pieces, ensuring a smooth texture. Set the syrup aside to cool.
  3. Mix the Drink: In a large pitcher, combine the unsweetened coconut milk, guava nectar, passionfruit juice, and the cooled pineapple-ginger syrup. Stir thoroughly to blend all flavors. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Serve Over Ice: Fill tall glasses with fresh, clear ice cubes. Pour the guava passionfruit drink over the ice to chill and dilute slightly for a refreshing finish.
  5. Garnish and Enjoy: Optionally, garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves or a slice of lime to enhance aroma and presentation before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the syrup sweetness according to your taste and the natural sweetness of the guava nectar and passionfruit juice.
  • For a spicier kick, leave some grated ginger in the syrup instead of straining all out.
  • This drink is best served chilled and consumed fresh for optimal flavor.
  • Substitute coconut milk with almond or oat milk for a different twist or dairy-free option.
  • If fresh passionfruit juice is not available, use a high-quality store-bought brand for best results.
