Potatoes:
- 4 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes
Seasoning:

- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
- Optional: grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Prepare potatoes: Wash and dry the potatoes. Slice thin slits across each potato without cutting all the way through.
- Make seasoning: In a bowl, mix olive oil, melted butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme. Brush the mixture over each potato, ensuring it gets into the slits.
- Bake: Place potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 45–55 minutes, basting with the remaining garlic butter, until crispy and tender.
- Optional: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese in the last 10 minutes of baking. Garnish with parsley before serving.
