- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Filling:
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Optional: sprinkles or flaky sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract and salt.
- Add flour: Gradually add flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Shape dough: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet. Press a heart shape into each cookie.
- Bake: Bake for 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
- Prepare chocolate filling: Melt chocolate chips and heavy cream until smooth.
- Fill cookies: Spoon or pipe melted chocolate into the heart indentations.
- Garnish and cool: Add sprinkles or sea salt. Let chocolate set before serving.
Notes
- To shape the heart, press two angled indentations at the top center of each cookie.
- Chilling the dough for 15 minutes before shaping can make it easier to handle.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
