- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (thawed)
- sliced almonds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Fold in the sour cream until fully combined. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the cubed angel food cake.
- Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes, then spread half of the pudding mixture over the top. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, cherry filling, and pudding mixture.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the final pudding layer. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Just before serving, garnish with sliced almonds if desired.

- You can use other pie fillings like blueberry or strawberry for a fun twist.
- For a more intense cherry flavor, mix a few spoonfuls of cherry pie filling into the pudding layer.
