Ingredients
Black Tea:
2 black tea bags
Water:
1 1/2 cups
Milk:
1 cup whole milk (or milk of choice)
Sweetener:
2 tablespoons honey or sugar
Vanilla Extract:
1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon:
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Garnish:
Cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil Water: Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Mix Ingredients: Add the milk, honey or sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon to the brewed tea.
- Serve: Pour the milk tea into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired. Serve warm.
Remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 4-5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and discard.
Return the saucepan to low heat and stir until warmed through and sweetener is dissolved. Do not boil.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness to taste or try using maple syrup for a different flavor.
- This milk tea is also delicious iced—just let it cool and pour over ice cubes.
