Ingredients
Scale
Beef Marinade
- 500 grams (1 lb) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
Noodles
- 250 grams (9 oz) egg noodles
- Salt, for boiling water
For Stir-frying
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: additional green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb all the flavors.
- Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Fry the Beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and crispy on the edges.
- Combine Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet with the beef. Pour in the remaining soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together thoroughly to combine and heat through.
- Add Green Onions and Serve: Stir in the chopped green onions, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm and garnish with additional green onions and sesame seeds if desired for extra flavor and crunch.
Notes
- For extra crunch, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top before serving.
- Use flank steak or sirloin for best tenderness; avoid tougher cuts without sufficient slicing.
- Marinate the beef longer for deeper flavor if time allows.
- Adjust the sweetness or saltiness by modifying honey and soy sauce amounts to taste.
- Vegetable oil is preferred for frying due to its high smoke point.
