- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Heat oil: In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.
- Cook rice: Add the rice and cook, stirring frequently, for 3–4 minutes until lightly golden.
- Sauté onion and garlic: Add onion and garlic, sauté for 2 minutes until softened.
- Add remaining ingredients: Stir in chicken broth, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, and salt.
- Simmer: Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 18–20 minutes.
- Rest and fluff: Remove from heat, let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and garnish with cilantro.
