Garlic Sauce Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream
- 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Melt the Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat to create the base for the sauce.
- Cook the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, taking care not to let it brown to avoid bitterness.
- Make the Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream and garlic powder if using. Reduce the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
- Add Parmesan Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts completely, resulting in a smooth and creamy sauce.
- Season: Add salt and pepper to taste to enhance the flavor profile of the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the sauce from the heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm as a delicious pizza dipping sauce or drizzle it directly over pizza slices for an extra burst of garlic flavor.
Notes
- For a stronger garlic flavor, do not omit the garlic powder.
- Do not overcook the garlic to prevent bitterness.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture and taste.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently before serving.
- Vegetarian-friendly, but not vegan due to butter, heavy cream, and cheese.
