Description

This Lazy Lasagna recipe is a quick and easy alternative to traditional lasagna, using frozen ravioli for a shortcut without sacrificing flavor. Layers of meat sauce, cheese, and pasta come together for a comforting meal the whole family will love.

For the Meat Sauce:

  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Other Ingredients:

  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli (no need to thaw)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic and sauté, then drain excess grease if needed. Stir in the pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Layer the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the baking dish. Add a layer of frozen ravioli, sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly. Let rest before serving. Garnish with herbs if desired.

Notes

  • You can use meat or spinach ravioli for variety.
  • This dish can be made ahead and refrigerated—add 10 extra minutes to the bake time if chilled.
