Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
For Garnish:

- chopped parsley
Instructions
- Pound the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a little olive oil if needed and place the chicken in the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and parsley if desired.
