- 14 oz extra-firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Drain and Press Tofu: Drain and press the tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Prepare Marinade: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Marinate Tofu: Add tofu cubes to the marinade, toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook Tofu: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook tofu on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Enjoy warm as a main dish or in various meal preparations.

- For extra flavor, marinate tofu overnight.
