Description

These Marry Me Cookies are irresistible, with a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. Loaded with white and semi-sweet chocolate chips, these bakery-style cookies will win over anyone’s heart!

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Add-Ins (Optional):

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • ½ cup dried cranberries or cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix wet and dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Add mix-ins: Fold in the white and semi-sweet chocolate chips, and if using, the nuts and dried fruit.
  7. Bake: Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden.
  8. Cool and serve: Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • These cookies freeze well—scoop dough onto a tray, freeze, and store in a zip-top bag until ready to bake.
  • You can substitute chocolate chunks or caramel chips for variety.
