    Cheese Dip:

  • 1 pound white American cheese (cubed or shredded)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies (drained)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of ground cumin (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white American cheese, milk, and heavy cream. Stir constantly until the cheese is fully melted and smooth.
  2. Add the green chilies, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin if using. Stir well to combine.
  3. If you like heat, stir in the diced jalapeños. Continue to cook on low, stirring frequently, until the dip is hot and creamy.
  4. Taste and add salt if needed. Transfer to a serving bowl or a small slow cooker set to warm. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For a thinner consistency, add more milk a tablespoon at a time.
