Base:
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
- 1 to 2 drops green food coloring (optional)
Optional Additions:
- 1/4 cup fresh spinach leaves (for natural color)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender or Ninja Creami pint container, combine almond milk, protein powder, peppermint extract, sweetener, food coloring or spinach (if using), and ice. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Freeze and Process: If using the Ninja Creami, freeze the blended mixture in the pint container for at least 8 hours. Once frozen, process on the “Milkshake” setting until smooth.
- Adjust and Serve: Taste and adjust sweetness or mint flavor if needed. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, swap almond milk for oat milk or add 1/2 a frozen banana before blending.
- You can also top with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or dark chocolate shavings for a mint-chocolate twist.
