Main Batter:

- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease or line a mini muffin tin.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, nutmeg, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined—do not overmix.
- Bake: Spoon the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare topping: While the muffins bake, mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and melt the butter in another.
- Coat muffins: Once the muffins are cool enough to handle but still warm, dip the tops in melted butter, then roll or sprinkle them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve: Serve warm or at room temperature.
