- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Cook the Mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, milk, cocoa powder, and sugar. Boil for 1 minute.
- Combine Ingredients: Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Add oats and mix well.
- Set the Bars: Press mixture into the dish. Optionally add chocolate chips on top and press gently. Cool to set, then cut into bars.
