Description

These No Bake Cookies are just like the ones your grandma used to make—chocolaty, chewy, and packed with peanut butter flavor. Quick and easy to prepare, they are the perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa powder. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
  2. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  3. Quickly stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add the oats and stir until fully coated.
  5. Drop the mixture by spoonfuls onto parchment or wax paper and let cool at room temperature until set, about 30 minutes.

Notes

Notes:

  • Boil the mixture for exactly 1 minute—too little and the cookies won’t set; too much and they’ll turn dry and crumbly.
  • For a twist, add shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or a dash of cinnamon.
