Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich, perfect for parties or game day gatherings. Tender ribeye steak or roast beef is combined with sautéed peppers and onions, topped with melty provolone cheese, and baked in soft Hawaiian rolls until golden and gooey. A flavorful buttery oregano glaze adds the finishing touch to these irresistible sliders.

Ingredients

Scale

Ribeye Steak Filling:

  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak or deli roast beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Slider Assembly:

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese, halved
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Sauté Peppers and Onions: In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté bell pepper and onion in olive oil until soft, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Cook Steak: Add steak, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Slice buns, layer provolone cheese, steak mixture, and remaining cheese. Top with bun halves.
  5. Brush with Butter: Mix melted butter with oregano and onion powder. Brush over buns.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5–7 minutes until golden and melted.
  7. Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider toasting the buns before assembling or drizzling with cheese sauce.
  • Leftovers can be wrapped and reheated in the oven for a tasty meal later.
