For the Skillet Dinner:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 (14 oz) package smoked kielbasa, sliced into rounds
- 1 (16 oz) package frozen pierogies (potato and cheese recommended)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat Skillet: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook Kielbasa: Add sliced kielbasa and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned; then remove and set aside.
- Cook Pierogies: In the same skillet, cook frozen pierogies for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and heated through.
- Add Vegetables: Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened, then stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
- Combine Ingredients: Return kielbasa to the skillet, add chicken broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley if desired and enjoy!

- Use turkey kielbasa for a lighter version.
- Try adding spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
