Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stir until just combined.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into loaf pan, smooth the top, bake for 55–65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and frost: Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until creamy, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk as needed for consistency. Spread frosting on cooled bread.
