Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
- Stir in mix-ins: Gently fold in the Rice Krispies, chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
- Bake: Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set.
- Cool: Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
