  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35–40 minutes until soft.
  2. To make the sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, whisk in milk, add roasted garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Simmer until thickened.
