For the Roasted Garlic Sauce:
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for roasting)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35–40 minutes until soft.
- To make the sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, whisk in milk, add roasted garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Simmer until thickened.
- Increase oven temperature to 475°F. Roll out dough, transfer to a stone or sheet. Brush with oil, spread sauce, top with cheeses, chicken, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool, slice, and serve.
