- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Mushroom Gravy:
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (for gravy)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Prepare the Salisbury Steak: In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shape into 4 oval patties.
- Cook the Patties: Brown the patties in a skillet, then set aside.
- Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, cook mushrooms in butter, add flour, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder. Simmer until thickened.
