Unsalted Butter:
- 2 tablespoons (softened)
Instructions
- Preheat and Butter Bread: Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of each rye bread slice.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Place 4 bread slices, buttered-side down, in the skillet. Layer with Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing, and more Swiss cheese. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
- Grill: Grill for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Notes
- To prevent sogginess, ensure sauerkraut is well-drained and squeezed dry. Consider lightly toasting bread before assembly for added crunch. Pair with pickles or potato chips.
