Sauce:

  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Additional:

  • 1 pound spaghetti, uncooked
  • 4 cups water or low-sodium beef broth
  • Grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare Meat Sauce: Brown ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened, then transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, seasonings to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
