Macaroni and Cheese:

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prep Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix Ingredients: Add the uncooked macaroni, whole milk, evaporated milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cheddar, mozzarella, and butter. Stir until evenly combined.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring halfway. Check pasta tenderness after 2 hours; cook extra 30 minutes if needed. Stir well before serving hot.
