  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M’s (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  4. Add mix-ins: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and M&M’s.
  5. Bake: Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, press a few extra M&M’s on top of each cookie, and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers look slightly underbaked.
  6. Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra soft cookies, slightly underbake and let them finish setting on the baking sheet.
