Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces penne pasta (or pasta of choice)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, cook pasta, and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Coat chicken with Cajun seasoning, cook in skillet until golden, then set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: Cook butter, honey, garlic, and red pepper flakes, then add cream and Parmesan.
  4. Combine: Add pasta, chicken, and sauce together, season, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • You can adjust the heat by using more or less red pepper flakes.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add spinach or sautéed bell peppers for extra veggies.
