Description

These Spider Web Halloween Brownies are a spooky and fun treat for Halloween parties. Rich, fudgy brownies topped with a white chocolate spider web design, they are sure to impress both kids and adults alike.

Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Spider Web Topping:

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • 12 teaspoons coconut oil (for melting)
  • Black decorating gel or candy spiders (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until no dry streaks remain. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Bake: Pour batter into the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely.
  5. Make spider web topping: Melt white chocolate chips with coconut oil. Pipe a spiral onto brownies and drag a toothpick to create a web pattern.
  6. Decorate: Add black gel or candy spiders. Chill briefly before cutting into squares.
