This St. Patrick’s Day Brownie Trifle is a festive layered dessert perfect for holiday celebrations. It features decadent brownie cubes, creamy green pudding, fluffy whipped topping, and a sprinkle of chocolate chips or mint candies for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
Brownies:
1 batch brownies, baked and cooled (boxed mix or homemade);
Vanilla Pudding Layer:
1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix; 2 cups cold milk; Green food coloring;
Whipped Topping Layer:
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed;
Additional Toppings:
½ cup mini chocolate chips or chopped Andes mints; Green sprinkles or crushed mint candies for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Brownies: Prepare brownies according to package directions or your favorite recipe. Let cool completely, then cut into small 1-inch cubes.
- Make Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Stir in a few drops of green food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
- Layer Trifle: In a trifle dish or individual dessert cups, layer half of the brownie cubes, half of the green pudding, and half of the whipped topping. Repeat layers. Sprinkle chocolate chips or chopped mints over the top. Garnish with green sprinkles or crushed mint candies.
- Chill and Serve: Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to let the layers set.
