  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (slurry)

Optional toppings:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken evenly.

  3. Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden.
  4. Remove and set aside.

  5. Make the Sauce: Combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in the skillet.
  6. Simmer and thicken with cornstarch slurry.
