Icing:

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree (or mashed fresh strawberries)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix cake: Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Prepare filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Layer batter, sugar mix, jam, and remaining batter in pan.
  4. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
