Description

These Sweetened Condensed Milk Snowball Cookies are a delightful treat with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Made with sweetened condensed milk, butter, and nuts, these cookies are rolled in powdered sugar for a snowy finish. Perfect for holiday gatherings or any time you crave a sweet buttery cookie.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Coating:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dough: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Stir in the flour, salt, and chopped nuts until a soft dough forms.
  3. Shape the cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll them into balls. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
  4. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the bottoms are just golden and the tops are set but not browned.
  5. Coat with sugar: Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on the pan, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm. Let cool completely, then roll again in powdered sugar for a classic snowy finish.

Notes

  • You can substitute other finely chopped nuts like almonds or macadamias.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of almond extract.
