Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla and mix until well combined.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices including the contents of the chai tea bag.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Form and bake cookies: Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls, place on the baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Make icing: Whisk powdered sugar with milk or cream and cinnamon until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies if desired.
