- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach (chopped and lightly sautéed or wilted)
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
For serving:
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, mustard)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, sautéed spinach, white cheddar, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
- Form into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
- Toast burger buns if desired, then assemble with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- You can also grill these burgers over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side.
- For a low-carb option, serve in lettuce wraps or on a bed of greens.
