Ingredients
Scale
For the burgers:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For serving:
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayo, etc.)
Instructions
- Prepare the burger patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, red onion, garlic, olive oil, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
- Cook the burgers: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Heat a lightly oiled skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and they are golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers: Toast the burger buns if desired, then assemble each burger with your choice of toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra moisture, avoid overcooking the burgers.
- You can substitute arugula or kale for spinach.
- These patties also cook well in an air fryer at 375°F for 10-12 minutes.
